Spring Training Game 10: Seattle (8-1) at Texas (2-6-1), 2:05 pm CT

Seattle and Texas will meet for the second time in a three day stretch on Sunday, after Texas traveled to take on the Mariners on Friday, falling 8-6.  Texas will be trying to win their second consecutive game, and Seattle will be trying to extend their spring winning streak to nine, as they have won each game since their opener against the Padres on February 22.

Seattle will send veteran Joe Saunders to the mound for his first start of the spring.  Saunders has a career record of 78-65 with a career 4.15 ERA.  Saunders is no stranger to the Rangers, as he pitched with the Angels from 2005 until 2010.  Saunders then pitched for Arizona from 2010 until 2012, before being traded to Baltimore late in 2012.  Rangers fans will always remember Saunders however for his performance in the 2012 Wild Card game, when he started for the Orioles and gave up just one run in 5 2/3 innings and struck out four in the Orioles win.  Saunders lone spring appearance this season was on February 26, when he was touched up for three hits and two runs in one inning against the Brewers.

The Rangers will counter with one of the young arms competing for a spot in the rotation, Justin Grimm.  Grimm has two career major league starts, both coming in 2012 for Texas.  Both starts came in June, against Houston and Detroit.  Grimm split the games, finishing 2012 (with three other relief appearances) with a 1-1 record with a 9.00 ERA.  Grimm pitched two innings against Colorado last Monday, giving up three hits on four hits and a walk.
