Spring Training Game 3: Royals (1-0-1) at Rangers (0-1-1), 2:05 pm CT
The Rangers and Royals will complete their three game series to open Spring Training this afternoon with Texas looking for their first win of the spring. Kansas City used a walk-off homer on Saturday to get the win after the two teams tied on Friday.
Kansas City will send out former Texas Ranger Luis Mendoza to start the game. Mendoza appeared in 30 games for the Royals in 2012, posting an 8-10 record and a 4.23 ERA. For his career, Mendoza has a 14-19 record and a 5.40 ERA.
Texas will trot out the ace of the 2012 club in Matt Harrison. Harrison had a breakout season for the Rangers in 2012, finishing the year with 18 wins and a 3.29 ERA. Over the last two seasons Harrison has won 32 games for the Rangers and averaged almost 200 innings per season. Harrison is 48-30 in his career with a 4.08 ERA.
